Attention Child Care Providers


Funding is now available to reimburse you for

CPR/First Aid Classes


The 4C Council is reimbursing child care providers who successfully
complete Health & Safety Training Classes. The reimbursement amount is up to $65 per person per year. Each person shall have at least a
$5.00 co-pay for each training segment.

Individuals eligible for repayment include staff of a licensed family child care home or center, and  license exempt providers, as well as in home providers. 
  1. Trainings must be completed between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. This requirement includes both initial training and renewal courses.
  2. The CPR/First Aid and /or Health Preventative Training Program must be EMSA approved and verified with the EMSA sticker issued.  The American Red Cross and American Heart Association are exempt from providing an EMSA sticker.
  3. Funds are limited. Therefore, funds are available on a first-come first-serve basis, and centers are limited to five (5) reimbursements per fiscal year.

     FREE On-Line Training for

                 Family Child Care Providers           

  Family Child Care at Its Best Training Program


Do you ever wish you could attend training in the comfort of your own home?  Well, now you can!  You may be familiar with the Family Child Care at Its Best training program that offers a range of topics specific to the needs of family child care providers.  The Center for Excellence in Child Development at UC Davis Extension has developed on-line webinars that can be viewed at your convenience.  The webinar topics cover content from the Family Child Care classes, but go a little deeper into particular examples, suggestions, and ideas for use in your program. 

The first presentation, Circles of Communication, is available immediately and at no cost to users.
1.       Users can access the training by creating an account at the following link: http://humanservices.extensiondlc.net/login/signup.php
2.       Upon creating your account, you can enroll in the training by clicking Family Child Care at Its Best Web Series and entering the enrollment key: childcare.
3.       You can access the Circles of Communication training at a later time by navigating to http://humanservices.extensiondlc.net/ and entering the username and password that you created.
